The purpose of this project is to:

• provide continued support in reviewing and commenting on national ITS standards, the project standard specifications employed by districts, and ITS project specifications developed by other states;
• develop and/or update a set of specifications formatted as an ITS standard specifications and drawings handbook;
• develop materials for inclusion in the appropriate FDOT design guidelines; and
• develop and implement an ITS standards test bed within the Traffic Engineering and Operations Office ITS Section.

All efforts of this project utilize a systems engineering approach.
