Golden Glades Integration Project (251671-1):  Integration of 13 CCTV (legacy system) to I-95 Intelligent Corridor System and conversion of Sunguide Incident Management Software Operator Workstation (OW) to Windows platform.

Service Patrols (Road Rangers) (250113-1-8B (Anchor), 251680-4-8B (Sunshine), 251680-2-8B (Rainbow)):  2 year contract with 2-1 year renewals.  The Road Rangers continuously rove the expressway in the service area looking for stranded motorists, debris on the road, traffic accidents, etc.  The Service Patrols assist in these situations to ultimately keep traffic moving.  The service provided is free through contracted companies.  The towing companies are Anchor, Sunshine, and Rainbow.  For the fiscal year 2001-2002, 2 news trucks with portable DMS have been acquired.  One of those trucks is already operating and the other one is about to be deployed.

Maintenance Contract  (250102-2-52-01):  Maintenance contract currently operating in Golden Glades Interchange Area and I-95.  The maintenance contract performs equipment repairs, maintenance of traffic, preventive maintenance on all equipment, utility locates, etc. on field and Sunguide TMC equipment. The maintenance contractor is Transcore.

Advanced Traffic Management Systems

ATMS – Signal System Upgrade (249907-1; 249908-1 thru 249910-1):  Upgrade the Traffic Control System (TCS) to an ATMS capable of handling 4096 controllers, modernize the TCS workstation software,

implement national ITS standards, transition the County from leased phone lines, and replace aging system equipment.

Advanced Traveler Information Services

ATIS – Traveler Information (405663-1):  Provides uniform, multi-modal, real-time traveler and traffic information in the tri-county region under the Sunguide program.  Working on providing snapshots of real-traffic conditions on the web; promotional campaign consisting of radio spots and ads in all STMC DMS to increase website hits and phone calls is in effect.  There is a Traveler Information Center (TIC) located in the GGI area as well as Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone system and website (smartraveler.com) already operational.

District Seven

Freeway Management Services

St. Petersburg I-275 Dynamic Message Sign System (DMSS) (403266-1):  Project installed three Dynamic Message Signs on I-275 with CCTV monitoring and communication connection to two City of St. Petersburg control centers.  Initial use is for the City to provide parking directions for southbound and northbound traffic on I-275 for events in the downtown and at Tropicana Field including Devil Rays baseball.  Future use of the signs includes support of incident management and traveler information activities managed from the proposed District operated Tampa Bay Sunguide Center. Local Evaluation Report has been completed and the City is performing operation and maintenance on the system using project funds.

Tampa Bay Sunguide Freeway Management Center and System (4072321, 4072331, 4072332, 4093661, 2586432):  Development of a Regional Traffic Management Center and the deployment of ITS devices for Freeway Management on sections of I-275 and I-4 in

Tampa. A System Manager will: design the building, operating equipment for the center, and ITS field devices; procure and integrate the operating equipment for the center and field devices; and perform CEI services for construction projects to build the center and install the devices. Currently advertising for the system manager services.

Advanced Traffic Management Services US 19 Advance Traffic Management System for Pasco County (405165-1):  Project is the most southerly of three construction projects to be built on the full length of US19 in Pasco County to install an Advance Traffic Management System (ATMS).  It runs from the Pinellas/Pasco county line to Main St. The adaptive signal system SCATS will be installed to sense traffic flowing through each approach to an intersection so that the signal timing at that intersection may be adapted to the traffic flows not only at that intersection, but also to other intersection in the corridor to optimize traffic flow.  The components of the project include 2070N signal controllers, additional vehicle detectors, video surveillance, dynamic message signs, fiber optic trunk line, and a new Pasco County Traffic Management Center (TMC). Plans are completed and project will be advertised for construction in summer 2002. Procurement of equipment by System Manager will start in spring 2002.

Pinellas County ATMS/Clearwater SR 60 ATMS  (406255/408419):  SR 60 ATMS develops an integrated Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) in the City of Clearwater, with SR 60 (Gulf to Bay Blvd.) and an adjacent section of US 19 as the focal points. Currently Phase II contract construction plans are being developed.  Pinellas County ATMS  deals with the development of a county-wide ATMS focusing on three more corridors identified by the MPOs Signal Committee.  The three corridors for potential development, along with Gulf to Bay Blvd., include the full length of US 19 in Pinellas County, McMullen Booth Road, and Ulmerton Road.
