Florida’s existing contraflow routes were developed after Hurricane Floyd in 1999. Districts, in coordination with state law enforcement and local emergency managers, developed plan sets for these routes showing the location of equipment and man-power to ensure successful implementation of these plans. Some work has been done on the public information materials for these routes, but this information needs to be enhanced.
The purpose of this project is to develop public information materials for Florida’s contraflow routes, including maps, Web site, handouts, and policy maker information packets.
