This project will ensure the expedited implementation of a 511 / Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) service in Collier, Lee, and Charlotte Counties that will operate between early 2006 and mid-2008, by designing and configuring the project’s data fusion system and traveler information Web site. The Data Fusion System will be the platform used by operators procured by District 1 to enter and manage information regarding travel conditions in the defined project area, then format and make the data available to the statewide 511 phone service and a collocated hosted Web site, while also maintaining a data archive. The Data Fusion System will also incorporate automated speed / congestion data made available through the project.
